coil help needed!!!

Ok so I was told that any coil from basically all honda atv's are the same, and if tested with a meter put out identical numbers and will all make an R fire. I switched out a 250ex coil cause I had it laying around and want to know if this will work and if that is true about all the honda coils.

no thanks brand new ones on ebay for 40 shipped in factory package, just trying to see if they are interchangeable
