i need some help here. i went riding yesterday on my 02 400, everything was good, then i went to hit my rear brakes and all i got was a grinding noise. not really a squeke, but a grind. it was low on fluid, so i filled it and still got the grind. the rotor and pads look good and fluid is getting back to the caliper. i went to work on it today and now i get nothing. the pedal just goes down and no breaking, not even a grind anymore. anybody help??

if the pads are good then i would take the caliper apart and see if you can find anything and use some 3M silicon past that stuff works AMAZING
Try flushing and rebleedeing the brake system. If that dosen't work then it may time to rebuild the master cylinder... Not a difficult task.

i checked the pads, they are good. i took the caliper off the cleaned with brake cleaner, rotor looks good. flushed the fluid and rebled the brakes. BUT STILL NOTHING. should i get a new master cylinder or caliper?? i know its getting fluid to the back, its just not pushing the piston, does this sound right??

Try greasing the pivot point on the brake pedal.
