Ok, the stuff is on the way.

Is the loss of torque from the lighter flywheel really noticeable?

I am an aggresive trailrider/Hillclimber. Is a flywheel weight in order?

Will a Cr250 flywheel weight fit on the R?

I have a light flywheel. It feels much beter than stock. You get more speed through each gear.

The only differnce I notice is that it is a little easier to stall the motor with a CR ignition on it. With the stock ignition on my bike I could launch with 14/38 gearing in 2nd gear no problem. When I put the CR ignition on it I could not launch in 2nd gear with the same gearing. It has to do with the flywheel weight and my size. Im 6'4" and 265 lbs. Other than those little things it is a great thing to do is to replace your 20 yr old stock ignition.

Thats what I wanted to hear, I am 6'3 265lbs and I was worried a little about the torque. However I run 12/39 Gearing.

I run 14/38 gearing on my 310 with a CR250 ignition. I can launch it in 2nd if I wanted to. I have a 14oz flywheel weight too. It is sensitve to stalling out but you get used to it and it doesnt happen much after that.

I must have odd-balls of motors. I have cr250r ignitions and nearly identical motors in my atc and trx 250r, the only differences between the 2 are the atc has a pt hi-rev and the trx has a lrd, I can easily lauch 2nd gear. I'm using the stock cr250 flywheel w/o weights. I have 14/38 in the trx and 14/36 in the atc.
