I have a 05 400ex the only thing done to it so far is took the end cap off and it clocked out yesterday at 72 but the new ones have a tooth bigger front sproket.

i thought the new ones had a 14 tooth and the old had 15 tooth?

68.7 MPH with an 235 lbs rider on a 06' 400EX. Stock sprockets 14/39. HMF Slip-On, UNI Filter, EHS Racing Lid, Sparks Advance Timing Key and 20" rear tires.

Yea sorry ur right i looked at the wrong number the new ones are 14 and i got my speed because my buddy has a 700 king quad and we were racing down the road and he toped out at 70 and i was still pulling away

Basic tools, simple mechanical skill, a drill, and 1/8th inch drill bit is all you really need. It took my less than 30 minutes to install.

i strapped my GPS to the handlebars the other day and ran 71.3mph on my 400EX. Not too bad for a 400 i thought.

I ran 67.5 MPH on my 06'. Hornetgod and I run about the same setup but, I don't have a timing key.I was still accelerating but ran out of straight stretch.I'll post a pic of the computer when I get off duty.
