i have 6 ply shredders...and i am amazed at what thaey have held up to..still got great tread after a year...and no plugs...the weight isnt that bad of a trade off for the durability

Im getting some new fronts and I ride a good bit of woods. Should I get 6 ply or should 4 ply work just as good?

depends if you are prone to get a hole in your tire..lol

this is my 1st experience with 6 ply rear tires...and I am not disappointed

for how much more 6 plys are......around $5 per tire, ide go with the 6 ply! The weight is not an issue, but it will prevent shortened rides with your buddys due to a flat tire!!

No...4ply will be more than enough...and the wieght is an issue...its rotating wieght...Stock 400ex tires are 2-ply...and in a year ive had one flat...but that was at Haat/ MCOY (rock heavin)...i run 4-ply razrs on my 416 and i swear i dont think they will flatten...i charge right through rocky areas...thanks to the axis...i run 2-ply ohstu's on my 300 (stock 400 tires) and love them too

GUess im just more used to the race scene. I never really had problems with flats with 4 plys b4, and i cant keep 4 plys inflated but i guess alot of that might have to do with me being a C class rider last year, to this year, running in the top of the A class. I wont ever run 4 plys again, ive been in 2 races this year, where i was running top 3, and i got a flat.

Is 1 pound a tire more a big difference? Its 2 more ply's! It can't be that much more in price.

I got 6-ply's..

I can live with a little more weight and $$ if it means more a more puncture resistant tire..

nothing like having a good day of riding screwed up by a flat tire..

Are stock 300 tires 2 ply or 4ply? Ive never experience a flat before and some of the trails that I ride on have alot of sharp rocks.

someone said stock are 2ply, so im sure 4ply is perfect.

I say whenever possible, go with 6 ply. I mean why wouldnt you if you can. it will help with both tread wear and will help for puncture resistance. Plus, if ur gunna spend that much to buy new tires, the 5 more for each is well worth it.
