ok... well i jacked a go-Kart frame from one of my friends already extended to put a four-wheeler motor in it... so here'm my plans... buy a cheap 4-stroke motor and put it in the chase, gear it the same as a normal quad but a smaller rear for smaller street legal tires.. and i'm also going to take the crappy go-kart front end off and put stock 450r front end on and a taller shock mount to lower it... and also build a Light Bar / Bumper... once i can get it to work i am going to try to make it street legal :blah:

then i'll need:
seat belt
turn signals
horn
street legal tires

Any thing else?!?!

What ya'll think??!! think its a stupid idea.... i just want to build a little hot rod car that will handle like a dream out on the cornery streets...

i think you'll need fenders and such. not sure. but i think its illegal to have an open wheeled vehicle other than a motorcycle.

Well a 400ex motor is always a solid choice for reliability, and you can get them for cheap.... But I guess if you want more power try to find a used raptor 660 engine out there. The possibilities of engines are endless... But hey what stop there, why not a CR 500 engine(tho kick starting would be interesting on that lol).....

Cool for off road but I don't think you would be able to make it street legal.

i dont see why you couldnt get it street legal...with seatbelts turn signals and all the other stuff itll just be like a dune buggy...and their perfectly street legal even without turn signals...just gotta get it tagged and insured

ive got a homemade kart that i built a few years ago. has an ATV rear carrier/axle/tires. thing has 20 inch rear tires and 10 inch fronts. it sits about 4 inches off the ground. :macho i had a 185 or something suzuki 2 stroke motor in it, and it went over 70mph down the road. scared the chit out of me on more than a few occasions:blah:

blew the motor, and it's been sitting for a while. my buddys got a 4 cylinder 900 cc 4 stroke motor out of a street bike that we are going to cram into the frame somehow. then i'm bolting on some wheelie bars and i'm going to go kill myself on it.

i'll pull it out tomorrow and take some pics to show you what it looks like:D
