well i am goign to buy a yfz 450 this dealership has one for 6600 2005 yfz450 it is mint condition not one scratch on it it was a dealer demo and only has 1KM on it it is mint condition soo do 05's have any problems with them that i should be aware of???? before i buy it well if u could let me know any information about the 05 yfz 450 that would be greatly appreciaed thankssoo much!!!!:blah:

they have some charging issues with the electrics. yamaha sells a rectifier to fix the problem, so ask abot it when you get there. you could also not get it and just leave he headlights on bright when you ride

My 05 has run great for me. But I think that price is high for one that old. I see some 05 for around 5000 new at dealerships here in Missouri.

I would try and find a 06 or newer the 06s had over 80 changes from the 04-05 models. And they are a true 449cc. The 04-05 are 439cc. The 06 will have a better resale value down the road if you were ever to sell it.

05 has the better motor and alot more changes done to it compared to the 04

They bumped it up 10cc when it first came out it was a 439cc then they came back out with it at 449cc in 05

06 is when the displacement went up. ;)
