Are you afraid that he has forgotten how to build an R? :huh

Barry Hawk seemed to do OK on the 250R, and they haven't changed any since then...

hey thanks for the input. I wasnt saying he forgot how to build an R. I just didnt know if you would recommend someone other than him. I talked with him for some time yesterday and today and decided to sent him my cylinder to port. He does seem to know what he is talking about. I will let you guys know how it goes and what the engine is like after he has finished. thanks

I wouldn't put it past Tony to be able to Build an R blindfolded. I've gotten many parts from him, I had him pipe and jet my first R. I'll continue to go back for any motor work I need. I think he was around $30 an hr. but this was a few years back. Can't find that kind of rate anywhere for that kind of service. Well worth every penny.

oh no, far from that. i live in california. I am just sending him the parts and he is going to port the cylinder, bore it and then set me up with all the other part i need to get the r all ready.

I took the bike to him to jet it, but all other parts were ordered. He is probably about 100miles from my house, if not a little more. I went with a friend that has used him. Without him, I don't think any amount of directions would help me. Once you get off the highway it is all woods. When I test rode it, he told me to watch out for Bear! It was deff. burried on the side of a hill. Two things to do while you wait, Cracker Barrel or Cabellas. lol Def not a large town.

Its been a few years, but I did see his Built 250r and his Mint Stock one. Not sure if the built one is what you are referring to.

I did buy an old style large IMS tank(Red), I think he may have actually taken it off of one of his bikes, seeing as how you can't buy that style any more.
