well, Here it is. I am putting a 426 bigbore in my 400, along with some other motor mods, and i definitly want a new cam. there are alot out there, and I was just wondering what you would all reccomend. I do mostly hard riding on MX tracks and such. I am not really worried about woods riding, because I dont do much of it. So which out of these would be best for me?

Webcam
Hotcams Stage 1
Hotcams Stage 2
TC
or anything else that you might think of.

I was kind of leaning more towards the Hotcams Stage 2

Thanks alot everyone

I use a hotcams2 for drag racing and screwing around with my buddies. I know others have had great success with hot cams, and others havent. Do a search for hotcams before deciding what way to go

If you dont want to harden the rockers and install better springs try the stage 2 but if you want to go all the way look at web cams 450-451 since its the same many builders use anyhow

I really like my Hot Cams stage 2, but like Golikehell said, not everyone has had good luck with them. In case you haven't read the post from 2 weeks (or so) ago, it sounds like you are taking a gamble with buying a Hot Cam, because who knows what you will get.

well, I was kinda leaning towards the webcam, or hotcams stage 2, because I want to order everything from one place.. and I am getting my rear shock redone by C&D so I was just going to buy all the stuff from them.
Money is really not an issue, just want more power.. lol

where have your guys gotten your springs and hardened rockers from? and how much did they cost ya

My buddies 440 has a GT Thunder cam in his. It has power off idle to redline. Throttle response is awesome.

Is the tc or hot cam 2.a drop in? Whats the power band like on these cams.

Dont know about the tc but the hotcams are both advertized as drop ins.

Thanks for all the replies, I have done some research and I decided to go with the Gt Thunder cam. It sounds like a fairly good setup for my motor along with the 426 and everything.

Thanks again for helpin me out

And make sure, if its a drop in cam that means you don't have to hard face you rockers? right.

drop ins dont require hard weld rockers, they are simply "drop in" and go.

Thanks everyone for helping me out on this post. Keep it going for everyone else who is wondering the same thing

The TC is a Drop-In.

If any of you guys have some specs on those "builders cams" dont be afraid to post them. Let us know if you measured it yourself also.
