Ok here is all what i had and ill give a description of each:

1990 F150 extended cab: I had 3 JL Audio 10's in it on a Sony 1000w amp with a Sony headunit and it sounded alright, not quite hard enough for how i like it. That is with no back seat.

1992 GMC Sierra single cab: I had 2 Punch HE 12's in it on a Rockford Fosgate punch 700s amp with a JVC headunit. Sounded great! Nice deep bass.

1997 Dodge Dakota single cab: I cut the wall out and put 4 Kicker comp CVR 10's in it on the same punch 700s amp. Hit hard but not clear because of so much vibration and it would rattle way too much.

2001 mustang GT. I have 1 Kicker Comp CVR 12 in it on that same punch 700s amp. Sounds great, nice tone and extremely clear. I also have an Alpine IVA-W200 headunit and that improved it tremendously. I had 2 12's in it and it hit much harder and still just as clear.

I say get 2 12's since they do carry and sound the best IMO. A 15" sub is just way too big for street bass.

Well I run 4 Elemental Designs 8" subs in a 2.0 ft^3 sealed enclsoure. Each sub is seeing about 300rms from a Elemental Designs Nine.1. I run my mids off a Nine.4 and as for a headunit I have a Alpine 9855.

Depends on your music really, faster song's need smaller subs. They can keep up with the beat better than say a 12 or 15 can. You can't go wrong with JL Audio, or Kicker, but Rockford Fosgate and Alpine are some other options as well.

i built a fiberglass enclosure / console for my HD truck to go between the two rear bucket seats. audiobahn immortal 1500w RMS amp, class d mono 1500w RMS amp, the box is exact specs the manufacture requires for this speaker... i was going to go with a sealed box but since that voids the warranty on this SPL comp. speaker i did the recomended port ( 8.5" L x 3" W) the sub is crazy loud for being just a 10" pulled 125dB after the install without tweaking the amp any yet

crystal comp 10's....UNREAL sound and deffinition...youd think the 10's were 12's, and youd think the 12's were 15's...if you have one....youd think you have 2 of em. best subs in the world IMO.

it sounds good i read a lot of pros and cons on the sub but it works and sounds great. it's a heavy sub though it's about 40lbs for the 10"

that's cool. my truck's in the shop now getting the front bumper and a scratch painted and a new rear bumper... i may end up trying to find a buyer for it though.... i love the truck but dont really need it... i'm thinking about getting something more down to earth and picking up a 07 raptor se. so know anyone wanting to buy a 03 supercharged harley truck for $25k let me know kbb is closer to 28-30ish but i'd take around payoff if i sold it

type R is underrated. They sound great with the right box and amp.

I'm running 2 10" Crossfire subs in a custom sealed box right now. They sound pretty good with other amps but my current amp sucks.

That's a great website! Seems like reasonable prices.

I was going to mention that you should probably go with the down firing enclosures. They sound the best.

And remember, ported boxes for long sustained bass and sealed boxes for a tight thump.

very reasonable and i like how its for the tucks where its hard to make a box for cuz of tight space!!
