no fan

My question is can you race a yfz with out the fan running? We just bought this and the fan doesn't work. My son says they race them with the fan disconnected or even taken out. Please someone let me know today. We race on Sunday.

If you have a problem with them most people will just take them out. i have seen alot without them in my series i race.

my fan doesnt turn on unless it over 100 degrees outside or humid as he**! its not a problem though they still keep themselves cooled down

as long as you not putting around in high rpms or doing tight woods or anytihng i think it would be alright. an mx track would be alright with no fan, but i think an xc race you would need one. mine never comes on unless im riding in tight slow woods or putting around not getting air into the radiator.
