Gearbox Failure !!!???

I had a major gearbox failure during my last race. The hole thing broke in pieces, locked up AND pieces went into the engine!!! Now its gearbox and new piston & barrel!! Suz says its out of warranty so I'm on my own...
The shop working on my bike says its the third one they got this year.

Anyone else with similar gearbox problems?

What year bike is this? How many hours? I've got an early 06 with about 75 hours on mine and no problems but I've been hearing bad stuff about the 07.

its a early 06 model with +-130 hours. new piston & valves on 70 hours...

That really blows...I hate to hear horror stories like that. Did you by any chance have the shift pin relocater bracket? If not, that might have been the culprit, but thats my opinion.

the shifter pin is weak on some models and you can buy shiftr pin brackets that help make it stronger .. Walsh Racecraft makes them

Will this LTR shifter pin prevent the gearbox from breaking as in my case? see above.
