Hey everyone, I'm not thinking too seriously about selling (unless the offer is right) but I'm just curious what I could get out of my quad

I would like to get $3500 but that is probably too high?

2000 400ex
416 w/ stage 2 hotcam
k&n filter
White bros slip on
Big gun rev box
PEP triple rate fronts (brand new)
Houser +2 standard travel a arms
lsr axle
PEP rebuild on stock rear shock
denton rebuildable stabilizer
pro armor front bumper

most of the other stuff you can see...
(i just got the bumper and front PEP's)

That is a sick looking 400. How did you keep the black so shiney? Mine looks like crap.

Thanks for the offers guys but if I do decide to get rid of it, it will be sold intact.

Also thanks for the replys on the price, I had a feeling 3500 was a little high given it is 7 yrs old but i guess it wouldn't hurt to start there if I do decide to sell.

Thanks again!

Less then a year ago I sold a 99' with basically an identical powertrain as your's but with stock plastics/chassis/suspension for $3200. It took about two months to sell at that price. It was very clean--not a spot of rust, had fresh tires, rear paddles, low hours on the engine build, etc. It was strong, I had all the stock parts, it needed nothing except a new home.

Like others have already said, prices do very by region. Seems like here in the desert stuff is more likely to draw top dollar. The dry air keeps metal the bits looking like new--very little corrosion. In my experience, getting what you think it's worth is all about finding a buyer that thinks the same as you do. Seems like the farther away from stock they are (besides the mods most everyone does) the harder it is to find that buyer. Your's looks real clean though and CLEAN goes a long way. When I see a bike that's clean I see a bike that someone really cared about.

I kinda miss the ole' girl :(

I agree. If you lived in the 909 or more west, that price is not out of range.

Good Luck with the Sale. :)
