better? maybe, only based on the ability to get away from the action and still get a full frame shot (maybe less dust in my gear)

i was already shooting the best nikon lens in the 70-200 range they make so the lens itself wont be that noticable in terms of quality except that the 300 2.8 should do better then the 70-200 2.8 at full zoom.

this lens should help me at the starts...get a new perspective and still get the action in the first turn. maybe allow me to do better close crop shots from new angles etc. the lens i have been using will still be the work horse in my bag. i plan on starting to shoot baseball and other sports and this lens is a must (actually its considered marginal for that:eek: ) ofcourse, i did not have $8000 for a 600 f4:p

That 300mm f/2.8 should be leaps and bounds better than the 70-210 f/2.8. The 2.8 aperature only really applied to the 70mm but when you zoom it out to 200 you were probably in the neighboorhood of f/5.6? Too slow for action. f/2.8 MUCH better. You gotta love the blurred backround of a very fast lens...keeps the focus on the subject and NOT was going on 50 ft behind.

I know we have a calendar in the works, but not sure about any chicks in them. There is something about a middle aged dude with a camera and a barely 18 year old girl in a g string that brings the class level way way down:p i dont mind lookin, but couldnt place a chick on a quad and have her look like she wants to snort a line and do the nasty with the next chump that smiles at her.( i am pretty sure i just turned on 3/4 of this site...lmao)


now...put that chick in boots, riding pants and a tight T shirt and ill be there with all my gear:p im not one for using a young ladies beauty to boost my ego or make money unless it's tastefully done. i still cant believe women will allow such things, especially the ones who are not getting paid for it:scary:
