I am interested in your airbox. I was going to get a new CFM Performance airbox, but your price is alot better. Is yours going to be aluminum? What is this new intake you talked about? Is it a snorkle? Does it have a lid and do you need to make any modifications to the wiring harness? What other stuff have you made before for ATVs? How will you be selling these, Ebay? Hey CFM better lower your price!!!

There will be no snorkal at all for this air box. All the air will be directed in from the lid, but the way we designed the box, there is no threat of water getting into your filter, unlike others that run NO LID at all. Our lid will actually bolt onto the airbox with a seal to also help with unwanted water. The way it is designed so far, is we only have to make 1 wire longer, and the rest just bolts right up. Like i said, i will let everyone else know more here in a week or so. Ill psot pictures ASAP!! Thanks for the post and showing interest. The company we are working with, PJ Racing also makes air scoops for 400EX and 250Rs, Seat latches, and we are working on a XC steering stem conversion kit for quicker steering. Ill keep all of u updated on the progress!!

Lets see these boxs. Will the battery go in and all the wiring too. How thick are the mounting tabs going to be. I hope there are made out of 1/4 inch aluminum instead of 1/8. Alot of pople make them out of 1/8 and they break.

patient ppl patient. Cant rush excellance. ;) no but in all seriousness this is what i like, i love hearng u ppl tell me what goes wrong with other boxes, so we know what to make stronger. From what our fabricator tells me u can expect one any day now, but u can count on it for me to be on him with all of this interest. Joe From PJ Racing is really looking forward to this, we both feel this product will do EXTREMELY well. I will see if i can get some pics up by wednsday!! Thanks for the interest!

Yeah i think we are getting it put on my quad tonight. He ended up changing a few things on it. This guy is VERY meticulous! THe other night we were out there till midnight changing a few things around. The way it looks now, he will have 3 differant designs. 1 for a reg. 400EX, 1 for a 400EX with long travel rear. And another design, that is just completely insanse looking, but he claims it will severly increase airflow! I hope he finally decides to put it on today. I have a race sunday, and i wanna see how it works!!!! im as anxious as u are!!!!

we got the 1st one done i believe. I should be able to get the pic off him tonight. He is waiting for some tools to come in b4 he starts making a whole bunch of them. I think he is done changing them around, and found one that he is happy with. The only bad thing is they dont ahve alot of testing done on the new one yet. I think he is going to want to test them b4 he puts them out to customers. But like i said, i think it is done! We may put them on ebay but not right away. Once he gets his machine to push them through alot faster we will.

thats the thing, these boxes are designed to not use the snorkal, and still use a lid. There is a hole in the lid, but it is still good at keeping water away fromt he filter. We designed a lid that had the same features just to test it in wet conditions. And let me tell u it POURED THAT DAY. I mean it was like streams coming back down the hills i was trying to co up, and that is no exageration AT ALL!!! Not a hint of missing at all. There was water in the box, but stayed away from the filter. The box you are lookin around $140

How do you think they will do in the snow and mud? I really don't want water in my air box. I don't plan on riding in a rain storm either.

I honestly dont thing u will have a problem with them sucking water at all. Like i said, i didnt run the air box, but we set up a lid that was IDENTICAL in the way it was cut out. And i have been riding with it like that ALL year at the GNCCs, and not once have i sucked in water. So i dont think that will be a problem at all!
