I have been lookig at upgrading my sons eton cdi but the more i look the more i wonder.

It's a 2000 50cc and I cut the green wire. Airsal T6 70cc , Hetrick pipe and 1500rpm springs .

The more I look the more I see vast price differences in these the aftermarket ones at performance shops and on ebay. Can someone explain the differences between all these things . Really looking for a reasonably priced one that in not limited and will adjust the curve a bit on take off.

These things go from 12.00 to 150.00 and I'm not entirely sure buying will make a huge difference for trail riding.

The twelve dollar one from e-bay works fine.

As long as you cut the green wire, you are just as good as the $12.00 one, as well.

The little green wire in on the back of the CDI it's a loop in comes out an go's back in. Cut it that removes the rev limit. That's an old 50cc stock class trick, thats the first thing you do LOL

Yes you can............ but if you have to buy one just get the 12 dollar one from e-bay. We run it on Kyles 90 and they work great
