Did Honda Change the shock Linkage on the 400EX

I bought a used link and the lower arm (shock mount) has a slight bend in the middle.My 01 is completely straight,which makes me think its from a 450r instead.Does anyone know if they changed and if it is a 450r's can I swap the two?

Anybody know?? I was told the linkage was from a 06.I checked the part numbers from 01-06 and they are all the same..

I dont think so.. Maybe the bend is from some sort of accident or something along those lines?

The Linkage is in great shape and the bend was made into it, so I dont think it was caused by an accident.I also noticed that the sides are solid and the 400ex,450r has a cove cut (half round) into it.When I say solid I mean it looks like the GT Thunder Link.I guess thats why people call it a dog bone because thats what it looks like.I'll have to get a picture of both.

Well I hope the picture works.The Linkage on top is from the 06 400ex and the one below is from my 2001.I paired the two up and the bolts line up.So I guess its good to go..

Top one looks like GT Thunders and the bottom looks stock.

That doesn't look like a GT Thunder to me... definitely not stock, but not a GT one.

I need someone with a 06 or newer 400ex to check out theirs.To me it looks stock without the grooves in the side,but I'm pretty sure its not GT Thunders.

Definitely aftermarket, the stockers are cast, that one is machined billet.

I e-mailed the place that I got the linkage from and all they told me was that ,"it was the same and would work on any year 400ex".So I'm not sure, I wish someone on here would post a pic of a 06's linkage.

Well I went to a local Honda shop and they had a couple of 06 400EX's.Both of them had the same linkage as the one I bought.So its not after market it is a stock Honda.
