My new 416?

I just finished putting my quad back together. I used the wiseco 416 kit. 11.1 compression, serious head work, race cam, removed choke, and a few other little tricks inside. I must say I LOVE IT! Man alive what a difference. My question to everyone is in the carb i have gone with the 42 pilot and raised the clip once. Here is the kicker though my stock main jet was a 148 and after rejetting several times and it still being lean on top I ended up with a 195 main jet. I just have not heard of anyone else having to go that big. Just curious if anyone else has?

Carb is a tricky thing........ you sure its running lean..

what kind of head work did you get done?

i got the 416 too with 11:1 and hotcams 2, no headwork though. how much of a diff will it be for me? i also removed the choke and i have a full e-series pro meg

I also had headwork done, but just cleaned and polished up. Ive heard of guys having to run these huge jets if the head is hogged out too much. I run a 168 right now, and thats with air box lid OPEN!

My head was ported and polished. We took alot of metal out of there. I think that you will benifit greatly from the head work.

i can always do it later, its not hard to pull the head off and i can get it done when it gets real cold

If you are looking for someone to do the head work for you I would reccomend T.H.E Works here where I live he did a great job and for a great price. I can probably get you a buddies price if I talk to him about it. Just an option. Thanks for the input though.
