When I haver my throttle anywhere from none to half it sounds fine...but after about half throttle to revy it sounds like a high pitched shredding metal sound...it rides fine but I really dont know what the sound is. Any ideas?

I'm almost going to guess it might be your heat sheild. I've heard a lot of EX's that make a noise when revved in neutral and it ended up being the heat sheild.

is it just the bolts bein loose or...?

if the heat sheild was missing a bolt (such as mine...) it will rattle when the engine revs. but if you have bolts in it and its all good i doubt thats what it is. are you loosing power? bogging? any symptoms besides the sound?

no there is no bogging or power loss or anything of the sort...just the sound

is it like constant when you hold the throttle? or just a tick when it gets to a high rev?

clean out a oil pan and change the oil just to be sure.Look in the oil to see if there is any metal particles.

Best Idea so far from a mechanical point of view. You can never be too careful

and after that you know that this one is okay, check for the engine mount, if they have loose it's gonna creat some vibration that make some weird noise like you said !

it's happen to me when rebuild my engine, forget to tighten the upper mount

Alright I just went out there and checked the heat shield and the motor mounts and its not either one of those...its coming from the top end if that helps any and if its a huge problem I have to have it fixed before saturday.

check around the head gasket. look for oil, and when its on feel around for air coming out.
