I want to get a ltr 450 this fall or next spring, and I am looking into some aftermarket for it. I want to narrow it up a bit, and I found this axle http://www.magicracing.com/Durablue-Eliminator-Axle--LT-R450_p_744-3456.html

Is that all I need or do I have to buy more stuff to make the axle work? Do I need to narrow the front at all or is it ok stock? Is there any other mods to make the ltr-450 a little narrower? Thanks

you don't have to buy anything else for the axle, as for the front i would just get some 4+1 offset wheels and leave it alone, thats what i did and i haven't had any problems yet. on the axle, you don't really have to buy a new axle either, you can just get some z400 hubs and the will narrow the rear about a inch and a half.

I think I'm gonna go with z400 hubs in the rear and 20x11x8 in maxis tires in rear and 22x7x10 in maxis tires in front. Being that the stock ltr 450 tires are only 10 in wide instead of 11, does that mean it adds another inch to the overal width? What is the width of the front of a stock ltr? If I will need to, how much narrower is 3+2 rims in the front? Thanks

the tires would add a little bit of width, but i don't think it would be an inch, and the stock lt-r is 49" and has 3.5+1.5 offset rims, 4+1 would make each side 1/2" narrower, while 3+2 offset rims would make each side 1/2" wider.
