idk if anyone knows alot about flat track tires but im wondering if anyone has ever ran the sd44 compound tire. cause my friend keeps telling me to get the sd23 wich is the softest tire you can get and the sd44 is there medium compound. flat track is less than 20 days away and need to order tires and i found sd44s for 135 new so need to know fast thanks.

44 is the hardest compound and they will last a while but it all depends on the track you are racing.

The 44's will work well if they track is a true blue groove (clay).
However if the track is at all loose then 23's will be better.

35 compound is the medium.

I would get the 44's for that price and groove them.

Last year we ran a bunch of 33 compound tires and just grooved them. This year we are running 23's because the soft compound will obviously give you better traction, but the drawback is that you will wear your tires out quite a bit faster.

I think 44's will be way too hard...~Jay

Do not run 44s, way to hard...

if you can afford replacing them a little more often, get 23s, the softer the better, if you can't, get 33s

where you gonna be running TTs?
