Just take it easy and DO NOT RIDE OVER YOUR HEAD when out with your buddys.Give your self a month or 2 and you will be able to do any thing. :macho

Yes they have alot of torque and they are tippy, but if you know how to ride a raptor, you can control the tippyness of it.Once you ride it for a while, you'll figure it out real quick.i like mine being tall like the raptor's are,but thats me,some people prefer a yfz or ltr450 for that lower to the ground feel, but i don't like yfz's or ltr's myself, but that's my opinion. But the 700 is a good chioce man,i think you'll be fine.I went from a 300ex to a raptor 660 and had no problem adjusting after some riding time on it.

First of all the 700 is a totally different bike than the 660. The 700 is actually made on a small frame like either of the 450's. The 700 handles a lot better than the 660 but still does not have the hill climbing ability of the 450's. Don't get me wrong, the 700 is a great bike, you just have to know what you riding conditions are going to be before you purchase.

I agree with the first response about taking your time with your new bike. Their is a lot of handling difference between the 250 and the 700 not to mention the power. Just take you time and get use to the power and weight distribution of the 700 and you will be fine. Me personally I like the 450's better but the most important thing is be safe and enjoy it.

the 700r is a whole new animal compared to the 660. the only place the yfz450 beats the 700r is on a mx track. I have friends with honda and yamaha 450s, both have engine work and you'll be surpised at the outcome when we race. i'd take a look at the new kfx450 before making my mind up. it has an all aluminum frame along with reverse.
