Hey guys, I have an 87 TRX250R motor with a messed up bottom end. I just paid to have the top end honed and bought new rings for it.
I have a good 85 ATC250R (First year of liquid cooled) motor but it overheated and needs a new top end (melted piston, but not ceased).
My understanding is that the 86 had a different stroke to it, but the rest are the same... or maybe it was the 85-86 motors...?
Can I use my 87 top end with my 85 bottom end/crank? I will have to use the 85 carb/intake/reeds as well.
