I just bought a set of factory 400 EX wheels from a friend of a friend for $40 they are scratched up but nothing serious. I have 2 questions: Was this a good deal in your opinion? & What do those little numbers mean beside the sizes, one has 7 99 & the other has 10 90 and the 7 99 looks newer  but both r same size rim? Just curious. Thanks.

Ya, thats a good deal. Those number are dates. 7 99 is off a 2000ex, 10 90 is off a 91 250X!

Thanks, I was just wondering, it seemed like a good deal. I'll just keep the 10 90 for a spare! Thanks again!

Actually the 10 90 is a stronger wheel. Sometime in the mid to late 90's Honda started making their stock wheels thinner, weaker and cheaper.

but they still kick REAR!!! I think those new ITP rolled edge wheels are CHINSEY!!! If i were any of u guys and u wanted a GOOD rolled edge wheel, ALOT like the honda wheels, your best bet is the DOuglas Rolled edge. Or Integral reinforcing ring,.....something like that, i just got a set....they are nice!

Thanks for the heads up, I really like that design, but as much trail riding as I do I think I'll just stick to used ones, if I can, so it's not as bad when I bend or scratch one!

Yeah, me and a buddy were riding along and my handlebars got jerked out of my hand ( unseen rock in the weeds) and it warped my dang wheel! but oh well I now have a back up!:D

I have to admit they seem pretty tough so far, except for that one time, but that was a pretty hard hit.
