new piston new rings and bore still problems

just put n new top end when it first cranks it is smoking until it gets hot then it stops smokes pretty bad at first dont understand making a ticking noise and it has a new timeing chain dont under stand need help :confused::confused:

Check the valves if you haven't. They could be out of spec. If you put an aftermarket cam in they also tick slightly more. It may smoke for a bit until the new piston and rings get set in their bore. Is there a lot of smoke , or just a bit?

their is just a little smoke when you first crank it i dont know how to check valves
