My friend has a nasty 06 that all aftermarket. He blew the front s[procket apart the other day, and ordered a new one. When we got it fron the place, it had about slines on the inside o it, or thats what i call them. after bringing it home, we found that it has 14 splines on it, when we told the dealer that it has 14 splines, we brought it back , and found that there is something wrong with because all the 06 bikes have 8 slines, is there something they may have added when it was rebuilt, or annything we should know....Thanks for your help....

They are called teeth. And stock front is 13 and rear is 48. So I don't know where you are getting an 8 from?? If there was an 8 tooth front sprocket in there you would be riding around in 5th gear the whole time, even on a track. If you want, put the 14 on, if not, go get a 13.

I am sure he is talking about the splines, not the teeth on the sprocket.

lol, I wasn't even thinking about that. Alright, well if it says it's for an 06 kx250f try it, and if it doesn't work just take it back and get the right one!! lol.

lol, yea im talking about the splines. The problem is, the sprocket IS for the dirtbike, but when the bike was rebuilt they must have changed something, becuase it needs a sprocket with alot more splines. Could they have put a different 250 part on there, and it stil work? Im not sure how this works, but yeah, we can take it back, but there all the same for that model.
