what is the best way to shorten an exhaust? i have an HMF i am considering cutting,but want to know exactly is envolved. any advantages or disadvantages?

drill rivits. unbolt/assemble exhaust. cut the can to desired length with saw. repack. reassemble. rerevit. bolt back on.

advantages: it sometimes looks cooler. thats about it. some claim better bottom end.

disadvantages: its annoyingly loud.

i personally dont think its worth it unless the exhaust is gooberishly long.

never shorten a pipe unless ur a pro

yea but thats all that the supertrapp is is a short can and those things are all about crazy lowend

could you shorten a sparks 450r exhaust like the YFZ sparks shorty that ECATV has and still mount up right.? just wondering.
