xr250r/ 400ex

I started putting a xr250r motor in a 400 frame today. Have to make new mounts cause the motor is shorter front to back. For the exuast using xr head pipe and runing out the center like a ltr450. Not sure which carb will be used yet. Have 3 to pick from the stock xr, stock 400, and 36fcr. Need to get a kicker extention also. Hopefully will be done tomorrow.

interesting....but why an old xr motor ive rode a couple of different xr250s and it dont seem to have enough power to be much fun in a 400ex frame to me,

The main reason I'm using a 250 is to become a better rider. I won't be able to power out of stuff like i could with a bigger motor. I mainly ride in tight turny woods with a lot of rocks. And maybe next year I'll go with a built xr400.
