I am selling my sons KTM 65sx and he (and I) want a pit bike for around $1,000. If anyone has ANY pics or info I would really appreciate it.

Here is his KTM

I just bought an '07 CRF50F for $1349 OTD, I love it! Worth every penny. The hondas will last forever! I am getting ready to hop up the suspension and throw an 88cc kit in it!

^ thats crazy... bought my 05 for $813 OTD. (it was new) but it could also be where you are located... we dont really have a demand around here.

DEFINITELY look around, but you cant beat a CRF50... If they arent fast enough in stock form, bigbore kits are reliable if built right.

I have 05 right now with Big Bars, rear heavy spring, 1 rear peg, and rear street tire... We also wrapped the stator, and it has a working headlight and tail-light... I can roll 65-70 foot stoppies (its far, measure it and then think about it on a 50) on the factory front end, no springs, and im not even outta 2nd gear yet... even still has the dirt tire :D

They are indestructable... the only thing that is broke (just happened) is the throttle cable frayed and snapped where i flipped stoppies onto the throttle housing... This thing has been raped to say the least... :huh

Good luck

The Price on the 50's went WAY up in '06. I got it for the MSRP OTD. My buddy that sold me the bike at the dealer said in '05 they would get them otd for $900

lol, i've rode a 110cc knockoff as well - disc brakes, the whole bit... My advice if you do get one is to TIGHTEN everything yourself... Locktite, ect. After we tightened everything (even spokes) - I didnt think it was a bad lil bike.

but i'd still get a honda. :macho

believe it or not, knockoffs can be just as good or BETTER than a real honda 50...look into the RCM, or a high class pitster pro

Killer advice. Show me some pics if you gottem. I was looking at pitster sikk etc because they look like they already have everything for the price of the Honda. (I know, you get what you pay for).

get a DRZ110, in stock form it will smoke an 88 in 2nd gear, and keep the KTM front forks, because with a few mods you can run them on a 110, I would never trade my 110 for a 50, way to small and way to slow unless you get like a 105 stroker

i honestly dont know about knock offs. ive riden a 110 and it was fast, but the front forks locked up haha. i honestly know nothing, but it was fast.

i have a chinese remake of a ct70 with a 90cc 4speed motor and it runs damn good. nothing has broken. besides like body parts from drunk guys haha. i really like the CT though. the only problem ive had is that the tank is metal (inside frame) and it had rust in it when we first bought it. starts first or second kick and runs perfect.
