I just bought a TRX6 pipe for my 89 R and I can not get it to mount on the expansion chamber! I am replacing a FMF gold series pipe and it mounted fine, but the TRX6 pipe seems to be about 1 inch back from the last motor mount support and the mounts that work for the FMF do not fit! Are they special mounts or am I doing something wrong? Thanks, MIKE

i think u are doing something wrong, i dont know alot about mounting pipes but if i were to guess, did u buy a powerbomb header for the FMF?? if u did u prob need to use the stock one....and if not that mabe its the way ur trying to slip it on

I bought the ESR pipe and silencer! I have both on the R now but the Expansion chamber mount is not lining up with the motor mount holes! Is there a different mount used other than the FMF mounts?

I'd drop Dan from Patriot Racing an email and ask him if you need anything special. I know that he has run a few different ESR pipe & silencer combo's on both of his R's.

patriotracing@apexmail.com

He should be able to help you out.

Thanks for the help guys, especially CW great pics!! I bought the pipe used and it did not have the mounting hardware!! Now I got it on and the pipe sounds sweet! To bad it is raining here, I want to see the difference as compared to my FMF Gold Series pipe! MIKE
