Hey fellows. I'm a newbie to the Atv world. Around dec. or jan. I plan to get a used 400. I was wondering what kind of top speed it has stock and what are good "beginner" mods.

im not sure if 64 to 66 is right. mine was more like 70 or so when it was stok. i hav a few mods now, so i cant say wut it wud run now

Mine was right at 65 bone stock at about 6,500' above sea level (measured on a Garmin GPS) but then I dropped to a 14T front for some more low end grunt in the woods. Probably dropped me to closer to 58-60 top. But then I piped and jetted - had plenty of grunt to go back to the 15T front. . .life is good!!

witha jet kit and k and n air filter mineran 69 so like stock it is 65-66

my 400, when i still had it, outran stock shee's, and some piped raptors, and they go around 74ish ish, give or take, so my 400 went around there, and my R is faster than my 400
