i am going to be drag racing this summer again and i was wondering if anyone knows what stage of hot cams i should but into my YFZ. I race a 300 feet and a 500 feet race

Thanks a lot

i wouldn't buy any hotcams. I raced a guy that had 13.5:1 comp. piston, hotcams, and yosh. pipe, and all I have is cam mod, Dr. D pipe, and beat him. I've heard from others that your better off doing the cam mod, vs. buying hotcams.

Just my two cents.

Only ones I would buy would be webs or megacycles.

And the stock ones aren't bad.

For the YFZ they only offer 1 option. We run them in a mostly stock motor. You will get a little better response off the bottom, and they pull a little harder throught the rpm range. A side x side drag race is a poor comparison.
Web and Megacycle camms will give you a more noticeable improvement, but if you go with the more radical cam profiles, then you need to get stiffer springs and stainless valves. The titanium stock valves can't handle the added pounding very long. Your other option would be to put new stock valves and springs in every 20 hrs or so.
