26mm carb

I bought a carb on ebay for my 250ex, it measures 26mm on the intake side when io took out my stock carb i compared them to each other and they are exactly the same size. Honda claims the carb is a 20mm. what gives???? I did measure the piston and it is 20mm. is this how they meAsure the carb or do they measure the intake side or is there nat an industry norm and everyone measures however they like?

In my experience, that's pretty much the case. Seems like most are measured by the diameter of the intake side but as you've seen, reported carb sizes don't always jive with that.
