2003 YZ 125 with a 139 Athena big bore kit? A guy wants to trade me the YZ for my non-running 01 440 ex.

I think around $1,900 because it is a 2003.

I was thinking about trading it in on a newer quad if I do decide to trade for it.

They wont give you much for it at all.. the 2 stroke bikes have gone down hill in resale & trade in even more so then before because of the thumpers, plus it has a big bore and alot of dealerships dont any anything to do with that.

So I would be better off selling it outright then. Are there any websites out there for people that are into the dirtbikes? If I get it I'll have to try to sell it.

I would, but I don't want to spend another $800-1000 to have some one fix it for me.

I'd find out how much your quad is worth in the condintion it's in at the moment and since you have a basic idea for the bike compare and see which you should go with. In the long run the quad will hold it's value more once it's fixed and the bike you'll end up giving it away once it come's time to get rid of it.

What wrong with it?

The bottom end needs to be rebuilt. The head and piston and rings look good. I know if I keep the quad, I will end up throwing more money into it to upgrade the suspension, go +2, new rims and tires, and probably new plastic.
