gasket question

i have a factory gasket, but i have a 440, so its 40 over. the gasket sticks over, so should i shave off the inside? thats what someone at my local shop said to do..

Sounds like you'd be ghetto rigging it that way, just buy a gasket made for the 440 and do it right, im sure someone will post up a link of where you can find those...

I only use cometic metal gaskets on 440's

you said its a 440 then you said that its 40 over I assume you mean its resleeved a 440 because thats like 4mm over

Get the cometic gasket, it should fit right in there.
