I have an elka/ lsr LT front suspention set up. Seems great to me but some ppl dont like elka.

Only thing I have aginst them is the dirt seems to get packed in the threads to adjust the shock proload. But a set of shock cover will fix that.

Piggyback shocks have a reservoir that is mounted onto the shock. Remote reservoirs have a line that the shock oil runs though, so you can mount them on your frame somewhere. Some people like the piggybacks, because they might cool better, but they can also be hit by stuff. Its all personal preference.

I havn't run Elkas, but I really liked the PEP's and Axis I have had. I can easily reccomend both of those brands to you. PEP's are known for being very nice, but taking a long time to get. Axis also have a great reputation, with less wait. Elkas are usually cheaper, but are known for not being valved correctly right out of the box, and a lot of people send them to someone else to get them set up correctly. I would also consider the Fox shocks. A lot of people in my area run them, and really seem to like them.

As for a-arms, most of the mid-high price range stuff is good. I would just avoid the cheap stuff. I've run Jansenn and Herrmann and havnt had a problem with either. If you are looking for the best, a lot of people would say Walsh or Gibson.

Dont forget to do something with the rear end too. If you are doing all this work to the front, atleast get a +4 axle and have the rear shock revalved.

I've got DeRisi a-arms with axis piggyback shocks. They work awesome together. The a-arms have camber and a cam type of caster adjustment that makes adjusting them easier as well as extra ground clearance. The shocks have every adjustment you could want.

No problem. If you have any more questions just ask. I am FAR from an expert, but I might be able to help.
