neways i never bought a service manual cause i'm a man and i don't need no stinking directions and i had to pull the front hubs off the front last night for some obvious reasons but i'll spare you the details but when i put them back on i just cranked them down them back them out a 1/4 of a turn cause this is what i do when i replace the discs on the front of trucks and stuff but i was just thinking that more then likly that's not right so i was hoping that one of you sweethearts would be kind enough to sift through your manual and let me know what is the torque setting for those bad boys and how far you suppose to back them out if any or what not thanks

you shouldn't post problems about your nuts here, it's a personal thing, we don't want to know about that:huh

you dont have to back them off after you tighten them. they arent tapered bearings. i think the torque is around 50 ft lbs maybe?? and the rear axle nut maybe is around 80 but im not sure its around that area i think. if your using a ratchet just tightem them up pretty tight and cotter key it .

as a matter of fact, they are tighty color-ties. ive worn them all my life. coming off the farm i found they hold stuff in place when moving around and such. i wore boxers once and thought i was gonna go insane, but that was with wranglers too.:blah

Now why would a guy leave his nutz right in the middle of a jump...and then purposely jump on em?
