valve seats/seals?

i know its a dumb ?? but how long(years/hours?) should they last before being replaced? curious because i noticed some light smoke on start up and decel only(thinking they are going and i know my rings are still good)..and price guesstimate for labor:confused:

im not exactly sure but it depends on how often and how hard you ride it. i just had mine replaced after 4 years of riding. for all my engine parts installed it was $600 for labour. if i had the tools or the time i probs would have done it myself...

If you have a valve spring compressor, doing valve seals only takes 30 minutes. Assuming the head is already off.
