04 swing arm

any trick to tighten the chain on a stock 04 450. yamaha designed the first ones stupid comparied to hondas swing arms.

Do you know how to do it and just looking for tips? Or do you need help with doing it from scratch?

i believe you have to loosen the two nuts on both sides and then turn the bolt to make the whole axle move back a tiny bit. unless im wrong, ive never had one of these swing arms before. ive always had honda.

Yes you loosen the two nuts on the bolts that cross thru above and below the carrier. Then using the adjusting bolts on the side you push it back. It should be real easy to move and you shouldn't have to crank on the adjustment bolts hardly at all to move the carrier.

Make sure you torgue the big nuts back, I have seen them come off twice and when the bolt backs out into the sprocked hub it will lock up the rear end real quick.
