I have PEP on my 416ex and I think they are great. There are other very good shocks out there. Many have differing opinions. Do a search for more info.

Bottom line - I don't think you will find too many people (if any) that don't like PEP, but you will find people that prefer something else.

Mostly everyone will talk good about pep and probably because they are definitely high quality shocks that offer high quality performance. But just research and get what suspension set up suits you.

450r shocks would be good but better if you had them revalved. But I would look into getting some works shocks. Not too expensive and would be good for your type of riding.

what do you mean revalved? where is the best place to get them from which would ship to the u.k?

Revalving is getting the shocks tuned to your weight and riding style. You can send just about any shock to a builder and have this done. When you get a new set they do this automatically. By the time you end up spending the money on a set of 450 shocks and send them away to get revalved you would prolly be better off just buying some decent aftermarkets.. The STD. Travel thriple rate PEPs are a good value and well worth the money.

It all just depends on what you can afford. If you can buy PEP's than I'd say go for it! The way I look at it... is your gonna save money in the long run by buying right the first time.
