Only thing i've heard is the 06-07 having transmission problems...

i have not heard of a tranny problem in the 06/07...

there is an issue with the starter...do not use any throttle when starting it and you will avoid that issue...

the fcr carb tends to have a slight bog if you nail the throttle ope quickly...get a smaller leak jet(go to a 42 down from a stock 77) and that will be taken care of.

there was an a-arm recall on some of them, but i would guess that this was already taken care of by the dealer as well as a throttle recall on the 06 model...not sure if that went to the 07 models...

there were no changes other than cosmetic between the 06 and the 07 models, but there were major changes between the 04/05 and 06 models

Tranny problems do happen on the 06s, if yours starts to jump out of gear, it may be the shift forks or the drums.

My right shift fork was chewed up!

it is part of the tranny!

Not all 06s do it, just some, but if your bike starts to jump out of gear, check it out!

Good luck and have fun!
