DS650 won't start

2000 DS650, got it out of storage, drained the fuel (except the carb), replaced spark plugs and it will not start. Getting fuel and have good spark. Backfired a few times, will not run. Dissassembled and cleaned carb twice, now it fires but dies as soon as you take your finger off the start button. HELP!

if any of ur friends got a quad i wuld tow it behind for a lil ways...... see if you get any better that way...... oil culd possibly be sitting on the top of the piston

My friends did that after sitting for about a year. He's got an 02' baja i think. Pop start it behind a truck or quad so it rev's for a second and it will run better.
