The rear brake caliper & pistons on an '86 250R are completely toast. Anyone know if 400ex calipers will work or any other ideas to save some money? Service Honda is waaay expensive for the replacement parts. I've been unable to find any decent used parts. Anyone making aftermarket? Thanks for any other ideas...

The 400ex caliper will work but you will have to buy the caliper, rotor, and caliper plate. It will be cheaper to buy the rebuild kit or find a nice one on e-bay.

guys i got news for ya .....
putting the 400 rr brake on a R is not such a good idea...
it (400) has a single piston...R has a dual piston....

Here's a pic nasty, done a lot of add-on's since this pic taken but you get the idea. Those rebuilt calipers from eastcoastatv better be worth the money - I'll know in a few days when they get here. Wallets gettin thinner but the wish list just keeps gettin fatter!
