Yeah, They are not bad for mx racing,or some recreational riding, but If you do alot of xc you should go with the armadillo skid plates. They are thick as heck. ac are not bad either though. I like the blingstar ones but they are a bit pricey.

I haven't used an AC skid plate but i just got a moose swing arm skid and it looks like it will hold up nicely.

Had an armadillo that held up for about a year which isnt bad for the rocks in Virginia at Taskers gap.

The moose was a little more money but it just looks like it might hold up a little better.

My armadillo skid cracked where the chain slides but it was ground down to nothing.

i hav the moose and it has taken a beating. it dosen cost that much either.i did have to bend it down cause the brake rotor was rubbing on it after some really rocky trails.

I had one, but is seemed to hang down really low? I dont know, I was running 18s and had the skid plate, and I got hung up like every 40 feet, really gay, I didn't like it as much as my DG, bent into my sprocket to, after i went over a rock on a track, so i just took it off, and I havent had any problems:p

i have them but i havent had any rough rides with them yet but so far its holding up go but time will tell. plus i got mine for $40 that where used for one day.

oh yeah it rattles a lot but i stuck rubber underneath all the points it touches the frame and it does not rattle any more.
