I have a 440EX that makes 41.83HP. If you go to www.servicehonda.com look at the SRX250R regardless of cost, and only 310 lbs insted of 375 on the EX would the SRX be a better more powerful machine??? I need Professional help please thank you!

I'm sure what you asking here, but if you are looking for a more powerful quad then you current 400EX, then the one from service Honda is an option. I have seen 250 sized quads make lots of HP. Maybe 60+ HP??

Different characteristics then the four stroke thumper that you are used to though....

60+ hp? Are you joking? A 250R can be made to put out over 100 horsepower.

Anyways, just take the money you would spend on the SH bike and find the nicest shape 250R you can. The 250R's engine is superior to the 400EX (stock for stock, and mod for mod), and so is the original 250R frame. However, Service Honda uses a 400EX frame.
