im looking to widen my 04 300 cheaply. i dont jump the quad or race i just want it to be wider. ive read that 250r a-arms will fit and it will give me 1.5 + on each side. is there any modification to use them or is it just a bolt in procedure. and for shocks i was going to go with 250r shocks or 400ex shocks. to widen the back i was going to buy g-force extended humbs. any one run this setup in the front? pics if possible? thanks.

250r a arms will fit but you may have to use the 300ex a arm bushings or cut down the 250r ones. 400ex a arms will work also but I prefer the earlier 250r a arms with adjustable/removeable balljoints. You will need a shockmount relocator bracket to make the 250r/400ex shocks fit. I had the 250r setup on mine for a season and it was okay but I prefer an aftermarket front end built for the 300ex. With the 250r front end it felt like I was fighting the bars much more and would tire out more easily. A steering damper would help quite a bit though. 400ex spindles help some to correct the steering geometry too.

On the old 250x/350x conversion we ran both 250R arms and 400ex.. the 400ex fit better and couldnt tell a difference between the 2 in handling.. overall they both worked good, but the 400ex is an easier setup. as far as the rear end, we have the g-force rear extended hubs on my wifes 300ex and they are excellent quality.. They have held up great with me jumping it, but she doesnt jump much and she rides it more than I do.. I would trust them though..
