The big difference between a full system and the slip-on is the difference in the shape/size of the header. Different shapes/sizes give different power curves. If you are planning to mod the engine, such as a piston, cam, etc...the full would be the best choice. The stock header will be restrictive otherwise.

Advantages- Big bore motors tend to benefit from a full system. Most of if not all aftermarket headers are larger than stock headers. Some have steps in the head pipe leading back to the silencer which is "said" to make more power.

Disadvantages- Can you really tell the difference? AND is the difference really worth the extra 200.00

--------------------
Advantages of a slip on
Saves money- You can buy a header later if you decide to bust into your engine- Did I mention it was cheaper?:D

Disadvantages- Might regret not going with the full system to start with..

I'll be glad to help you out price wise.
Take care

Depends on the quad.
Some have excessivly small headers (300ex), and some have great factory headers (LT-R450).

The majority of the newer models have good factory headers, so a slip-on is usually plenty.
