View Full Version : 400EX Lonestar axle?

Here's one for ya...So I bought a used lonestar axle off ebay for my 450r about three months ago. I finally got around to tearing my bike down now and it turns out that it is not a 450r axle and I am thinking it is for a 400EX, does anyone know the difference between them? It take a 24 spline hub the same as the 450 but just a little bigger. It's not a 250r axle because they are a 25 spline, although it takes the same size hub nut as the 250r. If I can figure out what it is, it will be up for grabs.

I noticed when I had my 400ex with a Lonestar axle compared to my 450r now with a Lonestar axle, that the 450r axles are a larger diameter throughout the axle.

I maybe interested if it is a 400ex axle. I am in the market for one. Is it adj. ? Thanks

on my lonstar 400ex axle in the middle of it the part that would be in the carrier it said 400ex on it.

Yeh I've seen the stamps before on some of them, but this one isn't stamped at all. Tim, I'll let you know when I figure out what it is for sure. Thanks guys, keep the suggestions coming!

could it be one for a 300ex? i dont remember 300 one being stamped. i dont have one for my 450 yet so i cant compare them.

My 300ex lonestar axle is stamped.
