450-r vs banashe


hello guys alright me and my friends came up in a debate today durning study hall yes our school is gay and dont leave us out for spring break till thrusday. One of my friends is saying a 450-r would win in a drag, motorcross race and the other three are saying a banashe would win?

personaly, i think they would split the honda 450-r would win the motorcross one and banashe (sorry if i miss spelt it i am a horrible speller) would win the drag. I own a 450-r and never raced or rode a banashe so I dont really know how they ride.

SO post your opinions on which is faster a BANAshe or a honda 450-r and what do you think eac would win in. I am goin to race my friend over spring break on the stone road..so i will post the results for drag and we are headin over to my friends track to test mx..

I know, 450-r would kill banashe in a mx race because they ant really ment for that kind of stuff banashees or more drag

It depends on the setup and the rider. You typical 450 would destroy a Banshee in MX, but there are more than a few guys that I have seen who can really rip through a track on a shee. Same for the drags-it all depends on setup! In most of my races, I kill Banshees, but there have also been several instances where I am just not even in their league. Anything can be made to go fast.....

on a MX track it depends mostly on the rider. drag it depend mostly on the set up...who cares anyways? just go ride

That's common sense a 450r would beat a "Banshee" not "Banashe" But drag yeah Banshee all the way.

Yes the Banshee is faster in a drag race. But that has alot to do with the riders ability to hole shot. We raced and raced and raced... Both quads were piped and jetted, nothin else. Banshee's are really hard to hole shot because they either tend to bog down OR blow the tires off and spin like an idiot. Granted Im not a world class banshee rider but I can get around on one.

MX track... The banshee is a joke really lol, dosent stand a chance against a 450r with comparable riders. They are akward and heavy. Think about it this way. The Banshee was designed way back in the late 80's when mx wasnt that big of a deal for quads... The new 450r's and all the others were designed with MX at the top of the list, they are better balanced, put power down better, handle better... you name it.

Ive got alot of respect for anyone that is truely fast on a mx track on a banshee... They are the hardest freakin thing to ride like that there is. I get around in the woods and in trails on one real good but its another story on a track.

Yes it is.

I was reading the thread then looked at the name. Ohh....... I just blocked the question from my mind, cuz wutever we say he won't listen he thinks his 450r will beat a F-18, so why even bother.

I don't even know why he starts threads if he doesn't take the advice or listen to the reasons.

stock? banshee in a drag, R in an mx race. ive seen HEAVILY modded 450r's keep up and sometimes beat banshees that burn alchohol.

First of all, me and ripley are brothers.. And he has a yfz 450 and i have a honda 450-r he posted that pic because his yfz 450 is set up for xc not mx...Second of all i just want to see what other riders have to say about 450's and what they are capale of beating. We are only 15 and a half and wanted to know what more experiance riders think>? Third of all if you have nothing nice to say then why do you post to get your post count up or what? like some guy said "arent you the same guy who posted about the 250r" whats the big deal i am just currious on what you guys think about the 450's ablilitys are. I hope you feel good raggin on a 15 year old man. Ya and you could probly beat me with a 250r because you are more experiance. You dont have to get all senstive about your quad man.

You know big people dont continually beat into others heads their exact age.. So what I am saying is that you saying you are 15 and 1/2 makes you sound immature and no one cares about the 1/2... Just some life advice from a 20 year, 11 month, 12 day, 3 hour, 39 minute, and 50 second year old, you'll sound more intelligent and more mature if you just say 15.

450R for the track, unless you want to put some money into a Banshee...Banshee for a drag and sand if you are set up right. But both are good machines for everything in general I think, just 450 is more mx, and Banshee is more sand out of the box....

well the 450 on the mx and in drag race from what ive seen a piped 450r vs a stock banshee the 450 will smoke the banshee up until banshee hits 6th gear making it pull away

it depends. if you guys raced down the road or on really hard pack dirt, the banshee with win. if the dirt is loose or you on an mx track the 450R will win because of the better torque and hook up as well as better handling
