can main jet be changed easily without taking the carb off?

there is a 17mm bolt at the very bottom of the carb, just take that off, then with a 6mm socket, feel around through that hole until you get the socket to fit over the main jet, then change it out and thats it!!

i am putting a new pipe on, which takes longer to change the main jet or the slip on?

they are both very easy and quick procedures but i would put on the pipe first...although the main jet will be a little quicker if you understand how to do it!

you just take the cap off the bottom of the carb, and then unthread the jet and screw in a new one right?? Is it more complicated than that??

yea dont forget to turn the gas off...but some gas will run out at first regardless...

Make sure you don't put the socket on to far otherwise you will turn out the whole main jet assembly and you could possibly loose the needle jet, some come out others are stuck in.

if you turn just the main jet will the whole thing come with it?

no it shouldn't, when I took my main out the jet was tight and the whole thing came out and the needle jet fell out.

Just go nice and easy with it and you should be okay.
